Eydie and Larry Jines of Humboldt, Tenn., formerly of Pleasantdale, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 5, 2008, at Symra Baptist Church in Humboldt. The couple were married Oct. 6, 1958, in Chicago.
Eydie worked as a hair dresser for 20 years before retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Pleasantdale Garden Club, PTA and Newcomers Historical Society. Larry was employed with Western Electric for 33 years before retiring in 1991. He was a member of Pioneers of AT&T.
The Jineses have two children, Belinda Jines and Veneita (Michael) Taylor; and three grandchildren.
