Kochevar will represent Glenbard West at state golf meet

A year ago, Kyle Kochevar finished in a tie for 25th-place at the Class 3A state boys golf meet despite being only a freshman.
Now the Glenbard West No. 1 man will get another shot in Bloomington after advancing out of the St. Charles East Class 3A sectional on Monday at St. Andrews in West Chicago.
Kochevar posted a score of 76, which proved to be the cut-off score for advancement. The sophomore was one of 11 golfers to shoot that score at the sectional.
Senior teammate Eric Boockford also competed and came in with an 86.
Glenbard South
The Raiders did not have anybody advance out of the Wheaton Academy Class 2A sectional on Monday.
