
Alcohol charges filed
• Robert Detienne, 60, 657A Duane Terrace, Glen Ellyn, was charged with driving under the influence at about 2 p.m. Oct. 22, according to police reports.
• Barbara Triebes, 67, 1120 S. Lorraine St., Apt. 2D, Wheaton, was charged with driving under the influence and a count of hit and run at about 12:30 p.m. Oct. 25. Police charged Triebes after receiving reports that she hit several parked vehicles in the parking lot of Arby’s, 499 Roosevelt Road.
• Robert Behrenwald, 18, of Glendale Heights, was charged with driving under the influence and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor after officers saw him squeal his tires before accelerating at a green light at about 2 a.m. Nov. 4, police reports state.
Car reported vandalized
A gray 1999 Jeep Cherokee parked in the 400 block of St. Charles Road was the target of vandalism early Nov. 7. The windshield, driver’s side window and driver’s side rear window were smashed with decorative bricks from a nearby yard, according to reports.
The owner’s son typically drives the car, according to reports, and the owner said he suspected that is why the vehicle was targeted.
Items reported stolen
More than $1,200 worth of construction tools were stolen from a truck parked in the 800 block of Lenox Road before Nov. 5, according to police reports. It is not certain if the truck was locked. There were no signs of forced entry, reports state.

Drug charges filed
Police arrested Benjamin D. Biancofiori, 27, of Lisle for driving under the influence of drugs, obstructing a peace officer, aggravated assault, improper lane usage, expired registration and failure to display a driver’s license at about 1:45 a.m. Oct. 20, according to reports. The arrest was made at Bradford Drive and Butterfield Road, according to police.
Items reported stolen
• Between 5:30 and 9 p.m. Oct. 19, someone entered an apartment through an unlocked bedroom window in the 0 to 100 block of Sterling Circle, put the resident’s two dogs in a closet and stole numerous items estimated to be worth more than $15,000, according to police. Items taken include televisions, office equipment, computers, jewelry, cameras and blank checks, according to reports.
• A resident of the 0 to 100 block of Circle Avenue reported a gas lawn trimmer was stolen from an unlocked shed between Sept. 1 and Oct. 17, according to police. The estimated value of the trimmer is $300.
• Someone entered an unlocked garage between 6 p.m. Oct. 16 and 6 a.m. Oct. 17 in the 700 block of East Evergreen Street and took two bicycles and a miter saw, according to police. The bikes are estimated to be worth $1,050 and the miter saw $300.
• Two laptops were reported stolen on separate occasions between Nov. 6 and Nov. 7.
The first laptop is believed to have been stolen shortly after 5 p.m. when its owner briefly left it unattended in a Wheaton College dormitory lounge in the 500 block of East Franklin Street, according to reports. It is estimated to be worth $500. Another laptop was taken between 11 p.m. Nov. 6 and 6 p.m. Nov. 7 from a Wheaton College dormitory lounge in the 600 block of East Harrison Avenue, according to police. The laptop is estimated to be worth $1,700.
• Someone removed the spare tire and its metal frame from a Jeep between 11 p.m. Oct. 26 and 6 a.m. Oct. 30. The spare tire is estimated to be worth $180 and its frame worth $430.
Alcohol charges filed
• Luciana Mendoza, 33, of Chicago, was arrested for driving under the influence and speeding at about 1 a.m. Oct. 22 at Butterfield Road and Leask Lane, according to police.
• Moises L. Flores, 39, of Melrose Park, was arrested for aggravated DUI, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license is suspended and improper lane usage at about 1:30 a.m. Oct. 20 at Butterfield and East Loop roads, according to reports.
• James A. Cleary, 48, 1316 St. Francis Court., Wheaton, was arrested for driving under the influence, speeding and improper lane usage at about 2 a.m. Oct. 21 at Main Street and Roosevelt Road, according to police.
• Police arrested Mark T. Lavigne, 18, of Bartlett, for driving under the influence and failure to signal at Carlton Street and Liberty Drive at about 5 a.m. Oct. 21, according to reports.
• Police arrested Josue F. Jimenez, 32, 25W.323 Armbrust Ave., Wheaton, for driving under the influence, driving without headlights on and illegal squealing of tires at about 10 p.m. Oct. 31 in the block of West Wesley Street, police said.
• Michael T. Stringfellow, 19, of Roselle, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of drugs, driving without headlights on and improper lane usage at about 1:45 a.m. at Lorraine Drive and Roosevelt Road, according to reports.
• Police arrested Amy E. Lottman, 39, 1120 S. Lorraine Dr., Unit 2C, Wheaton, at about 2:30 a.m. Nov. 4 for driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, having an unsafe tire and for a seat belt violation, police said.
