DUI charged
• Sarah Tozzi, 22, of Naperville was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 1:30 a.m. Jan. 17, according to Wheaton police reports.
• Ryan Kennelly, 25, 75 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 3:30 a.m. Jan. 16, according to Wheaton police reports.
• Travis Hinze, 19, of Winfield was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of cannabis at about 2 a.m. Jan. 15, according to Wheaton police reports.
• Taylor Sage, 18, 844 Highgate Circle, Glen Ellyn, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia Jan. 14, according to Wheaton police reports.
• Brian Johnson, 25, of Glendale Heights was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 2 a.m. Jan. 15, according to Wheaton police reports.
• Sadat Shahzad, 20, of Glendale Heights was charged with driving under the influence of drugs Jan. 14, according to Wheaton police reports.
• Ryan Vrany, 27, of West Chicago was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia Jan. 16, according to Wheaton police reports.
• Suresh Kurra, 26, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 1:15 a.m. Jan. 13, according to Wheaton police reports.
Items reported stolen
• A purse was stolen from a car parked at Fox Bowling, 1101 E. Butterfield Road, between 5:30 and 8 p.m. Jan. 13, police reports state. The purse and the wallet inside were valued together at $60, and they contained $40 in cash, according to reports.
GLEN ELLYN
Items reported stolen
• About $40 in cash and $125 in gift cards were stolen from an unlocked 2006 Infiniti parked in the 500 block of North Park Boulevard overnight before Jan. 4, according to Glen Ellyn police reports.
• Prescription medicine was stolen from a residence in the 1100 block of Surrey Drive during a residential burglary between Dec. 24 and Jan. 3, according to police reports.
• A woman reported she had an envelope with $500 taken from her Jan. 31 while she was at the Trader Joe’s grocery store 680 Roosevelt Road, according to Glen Ellyn police reports. The money, which was in $50 and $20 bills, was discovered missing after an hour of shopping, reports state.
Property damage reported
• A house in the 400 block of Phillips Avenue was vandalized with silly string and eggs between about 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. Jan. 9, according to Glen Ellyn police reports.
Alcohol charges filed
• Armando Ramirez, 28, 1305 Roosevelt Road, No. 4, Wheaton, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol just after midnight Monday, Jan. 31, after he was clocked driving 27 miles per hour over the speed limit, according to Glen Ellyn police reports.
• Arvina Grbin, 61, of Orland Park was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 9:30 p.m. Dec. 25 after she was seen swerving from lane to lane while driving along Roosevelt Road, according to Glen Ellyn police.
Disorderly conduct charged
• Anthony Klepek, 50, 108 S. Milton Ave., Glen Ellyn, was charged with disorderly conduct Jan. 10 after using a BB gun to scare a hawk away from his house, Glen Ellyn police reports state. Officers responded to the Milton Avenue residence after a report that a man was standing outside “cocking” a shotgun, according to police reports. When officers arrived, Klepek told them a hawk had been killing birds near his bird feeder, and he wanted to chase it away, police said. He told officers he fired his Red Rider BB gun once, reports state, but not in the direction of the bird.
Drug charge filed
• Paula Letizia, 29, of Clarendon Hills was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after she was pulled over on Roosevelt Road at about 9:30 p.m. Jan. 3. According to reports, officers discovered she had a suspended license after she was pulled over for driving with a missing headlight. A subsequent search yielded a stone one-hitter pipe and several plastic bags with marijuana residue, reports state.
