A 20-year-old woman and 23-year-old man were shot in a home invasion in unincorporated Glen Ellyn this morning.

Three men broke into a home in the 800 block of Busch Road and shot two people inside around 2 a.m. Friday, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Department. Police responded to the scene after a 911 call from a resident who said a man had been shot.

The two victims were taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, where they remain in critical condition, according to police. The Sheriff's Department said a third victim of the break-in, a 24-year-old man, didn't need medical attention.

Police did not release a description of the suspects or any further information, but say they continue to investigate the incident. "At this time, we have no reason to believe that there is a threat to residents in the area," a Sheriff's Department news release said.
