A 20-year-old woman and 23-year-old man were shot in a home invasion in unincorporated Glen Ellyn Friday morning.

Three men broke into a home in the 800 block of Busch Road and shot two people inside around 2 a.m. Friday, according to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department. Police responded to the scene after a 911 call from a resident who said a man had been shot.

The two victims were taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, where they were in critical condition Friday, according to police. The sheriff’s department declined to release any information about their condition Tuesday.

The Sheriff’s Department said a third victim of the break-in, a 24-year-old man, didn’t need medical attention.

Police did not release a description of the suspects or any further information, but say they continue to investigate the incident.

“At this time, we have no reason to believe that there is a threat to residents in the area,” a Sheriff’s Department news release said Friday morning.

Neighbors of the home at 817 Busch Road said two men had been living there, but that they didn’t know anything about Friday morning’s incident.

James and Georgia Johnson, of 1N587 Park Blvd. in Glen Ellyn, are named on the deed to the home at 817 Busch Road. A man who answered the door at 1N587 Park Blvd. Tuesday afternoon said the Johnsons were not home. Asked if he knew anything about what happened at 817 Busch Road Friday morning, the man said the Johnsons did not want to talk about it and closed the door.
