The Village of Glen Ellyn's Board of Trustees have come to the consensus that steps should be taken to ban video gaming machines that are used for gambling.
After discussing the issue Monday night during the board's regular workshop meeting, the board asked village staff to either write up an ordinance banning the video machines or amend the village's existing gaming ordinance to ban video gambling.
Village President Mark Pfefferman said that it may not be until next month before the board takes action on the issue. "We're under no deadline. There's no real hurry. Next week or November I believe we'll see it."
