Glen Ellyn School District 41 will have a full-time finance chief starting this summer after months of the position being filled by two interims.
The School Board approved hiring Robert J. Ciserella Jr. at a Feb. 5 meeting as its new assistant superintendent for finance, facilities and operations starting Sunday, July 1.
Ciserella is the chief financial officer and director of operations for Cary School District 26.
Before making his way to Cary, Ciserella served as assistant director of finance in Crystal Lake District 47 and also owned a chain of restaurants.
He will replace Ed Kula and Tom Swenson who took on the job in July 2006 after former finance, facilities and operations chief Kris Monn left for a finance administrator job with Oswego Community Unit School District 308.
