Hawks' softball in supersectional game today

Bartlett's softball team avenged two regular season losses to Upstate Eight Conference foe St. Charles to capture the Lake Park sectional championship with a 2-1 win over the North Stars on Saturday.

The win advanced the Hawks (22-14) into today's supersectional game at Benedictine University in Lisle. Game time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. againt Naperville Central, who was a 3-0 winner over Lockport in the Neuqua Valley sectional championship game.

The Hawks were also recent winners over the Porters, topping the traditionally powerhouse program in the Stone City tournament at the end of the regular season.

Naperville Central is sitting at 30-6 after playoff wins over Lockport, Benet, West Aurora and Plainfield South.

Bartlett topped St. Charles North, Glenbard North, West Chicago and Schaumburg on the way to the supersectional.
