Adventist Hinsdale Hospital and the Hinsdale Hospital Foundation Assembly Board are sponsoring the 10th annual women’s health symposium from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at the Marriott Oak Brook Hills Resort, 3500 Midwest Road, Oak Brook.

Women will meet respected health and wellness experts while enjoying an array of vendors, product samples and door prizes at the 10th annual Empowering Women: A Health and Spirit Symposium. Keynote speaker Doris K. Christopher, founder and chairman of The Pampered Chef, will share her personal story of empowerment and entrepreneurship.

Several physicians who treat patients at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital also will address timely health topics. Drs. Steven Smith and Susan Murrey will present “Uterine Fibroid Embolization: An Alternative to Hysterectomy,” and Dr. Andrew Lawrence will present “Changing the Beat: Treating Heart Rhythm Problems.” Both hour-long programs will describe new minimally invasive treatments. Dr. Matthew Harris will present “Healthy, Beautiful Skin at Every Age,” and Dr. Mita Majmundar will present “Bras and Breasts: Separating Fact from Fiction about Breast Health and Breast Cancer.”

Other programs include “Getting Organized: De-Cluttering Your Life,” presented by Kim Costino of The DeClutter Box, and “Real Life Strategies for Staying Fit and Eating Smart – For You and Your Family,” presented by chef Laura Valcour, Suzanne Gray, M.S., and Courtney DePaulo of Right Fit – Sport Fitness Wellness, LLC.

Space is limited for each session. Please register early. Each participant will receive a goodie bag.

“Our hope is that women will leave this event feeling refreshed and motivated,” said Susan King, executive director of the Hinsdale Hospital Foundation. “Women of all ages will benefit from these presentations — designed to stimulate the mind, rejuvenate the body and inspire the soul.”

For more information or to register, call (630) 856-7525. Registration must be completed by Sunday, Oct. 26. Tickets cost $25 or $35 with late registration.
