Trio of Vikings set sail for sectional

Geneva's girls golf team narrowly missed a team berth to Monday's sectional tournament, but three golfers made it to the next round with their regional scores.
Shannon Delaney was second among advancing individuals with an 82, followed closely by teammates Mel Schlenker and Emily Comperda, who each scored a 95 at the Class AA St. Francis regional at Prairie Landing in West Chicago
Geneva scored 389 as a team, finishing just behind St. Francis (379) for the third and final sectional team berth. Wheaton Warrenville South (341) topped York (355) for the regional title.
