Car burglaries reported

• A car stereo and accessory kit, valued together at $550, were stolen from an unlocked car between 10:30 p.m. May 19 and about 8:15 a.m. May 20 in the 1500 block of Charleston Street, police said.

• A laser and a cell phone, valued together at $1,240, were stolen from a car between 10:30 p.m. May 19 and 6:30 a.m. May 20 in the 1500 block of Kennedy Drive, police said.

• A laptop power adapter and black leather bag with miscellaneous tools, valued together at $500, were stolen from a car between 8:30 p.m. May 19 and 6:45 a.m. May 20 in the 1100 block of Winnebago Trail, police said.

• A stereo system was stolen from a car dashboard at about 6:30 p.m. May 20 in the 200 block of Mill Street, police said.

Laptop stolen from home

A laptop, valued at $300, was stolen from a home between 10 p.m. and midnight May 17 in the 400 block of Thorne Street, police said.

Gas reported stolen

• Someone pumped about $22 worth of gasoline at about 10 a.m. May 20 at Gas Mart, 200 E. Fabyan Parkway, and drove off without paying, police said.

• Someone pumped $35.01 worth of gasoline at about 4:15 p.m. May 20 at Mobil, 2074 Main St., and drove off without paying, police said.

DUIs charged

• David Schonback Jr., 23, 2021 Pepper Valley Drive, Geneva, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 2:15 a.m. May 24 in the first block of Hamilton Street, police said.

• Michael J. Zuspann, 42, 428 N. First St., Geneva, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 3:30 p.m. May 23 in the 500 block of West State, police said.

• Cynthia M. Scheffel, 44, 813 Fargo Blvd., Geneva, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 10:45 p.m. May 22 in the 100 block of Hamilton Street, police said.

• Jesus A. Adame, 24, 6N209 Catalpa Ave., St. Charles, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 2 a.m. May 19 in the 100 block of Hamilton Street, police said.

GPS reported stolen

Someone smashed the driver’s side window of a vehicle and stole a GPS unit, valued at $400, between 10 p.m. May 22 and 8 a.m. May 23 on the 100 block of Country Club Place, police said. Reports estimate the damage to the vehicle to be $350.

Car window smashed

Someone smashed the driver’s side window of a vehicle between 11 p.m. May 22 and 8 a.m. May 23 in the 2800 block of Fargo Boulevard, police said. Reports estimate the damage to be $350.

ST. CHARLES

Man flees scene

Maxwell A. Jansky, 18, of 663 Green Meadow Lane, Geneva, was charged with one count of attempting to elude an officer and speeding near South Kirk Road and Cumberland Parkway at 10 p.m. May 14.

GPS reported stolen

A GPS unit valued at $300 was stolen from a 2002 Toyota Rav 4 between 9 and 11:30 a.m. May 22 at the Kohl’s store, 3840 E. Main St.

Power tools stolen

Power tools worth $5,800 were stolen from Timeless Touch Construction, 4403 Royal Fox Drive, between 4 p.m. May 19 and 6:50 a.m. May 20. The tools stolen included a sander, assorted saws, staple guns and framing guns.

Woman gets theft charge

Jazmin A. Munguia, 22, of Warrenville, was charged with one count of retail theft after she allegedly stole $258 worth of clothing from the Kohl’s department store at 5:45 p.m. May 20.

Street sign gets defaced

The street sign at Pleasantville and Lucy avenues was vandalized after the Pleasantville Avenue sign facing north was covered in black paint between May 1 and 14. Estimated damage was $300.
