Geneva, IL -

Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns and St. Charles Mayor Don DeWitte are adding to the excitement and rivalry already building before the Geneva vs. St. Charles East football game Sept. 5 by making a friendly wager.

Burns and DeWitte have bet each other that if their team wins the battle on the gridiron tomorrow night, the losing mayor has to wear the winning team's colors at the Sept. 8 City Council meeting.

"I bleed blue and white so the thought of wearing orange and black may be a shock to the system," Burns said.

The varsity football game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Geneva's Burgess Field.
