Geneva Community Unit School District 304 once again will be the beneficiary of a fundraiser sponsored by State Librarian and Secretary of State Jesse White, the Illinois Literacy Foundation and Borders Stores.
Beginning this week, customers at the Geneva Borders, 1660 Randall Road, will be given the opportunity to add $1 or more to their purchases to benefit the district’s literacy program.
The program will run through Nov. 1.
Funds received this year will enable Geneva schools to purchase books and other items that support literacy for school libraries.
Last year, each of Geneva’s public schools received hundreds of dollars in gift cards to be spent at Borders on books and other items for the school’s library.
