The following Geneva Middle School South students made high honor roll for the first quarter of 2007:

Alexander Falls of Batavia, Derek Hassler of Geneva and Joseph Pittner of St. Charles have been selected to sing in the 2007-2008 edition of the Millikin Men.

Crystal Skipworth of Geneva has been selected for the 2007-08 Millikin University Women’s Choir.

Local Marmion Academy students received a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Seniors Edward Leonard of Geneva, Michael O’Brien of St. Charles, Richard Peck of St. Charles, and Taylor Weis of Batavia are recognized for their exceptional academic promise along with a total of about 34,000 commended students throughout the nation. They are placed among the top five percent of more than one million students who entered the 2008 competition.

Sarah Thomas of Geneva was named to the fall and spring dean’s lists at Dominican University in River Forest.

William Longwell of Batavia has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as Operation Warrior Forge, at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash.

Brian Pekarek of Geneva has been named on the Spring 2007 President’s List at Illinois Central College.
