Firefighters wearing pink, collecting for cancer

The Berwyn Fire Department will be collecting money for the American Cancer Society from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 3, for a “pass the helmet” campaign.

To commemorate breast cancer awareness month, firefighters will be wearing pink T-shirts at intersections throughout the city collecting money for the American Cancer Society. Possible locations include 26th Street and Harlem Avenue, Ogden and Oak Park avenues, and Roosevelt Road and Oak Park Avenue.

All proceeds donated will be given for cancer research.
