A former Berwyn alderman, who assisted in a public corruption investigation, has announced he is running for mayor.
Alex Bojovic, former 2nd Ward alderman, said the current administration under Mayor Michael O’Connor has failed to reform Berwyn government.
“I have decided that I can’t just sit by and watch our city run further in debt,” Bojovic said in a release.
Bojovic, in cooperation with the FBI, helped catch developer Clifford Josefik in a bribery scandal. Josefik pleaded guilty in February 2007.
Bojovic said he will be participating in the Houby Day Parade Oct. 5.
