Berwyn, IL -

Mothers of special-needs children living in the Berwyn-Cicero area will receive a little pampering Sunday, Oct. 5.

Somebody Special is an organization started about 14 years ago by Lombard resident Mary Ellen Connelly to raise money for children with special needs. The organization has planned a pamper mom’s day out to lavish a little attention on the women who care for special-needs children.

Connelly said they will pick mothers up at a home in Berwyn at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, take them for a shopping trip to Yorktown Shopping Center in Lombard, and then treat them to a hair cut at Attitudes Hair Designs Limited, 645 East Roosevelt Road, Lombard.

The organization will spring for dinner at Carlucci’s at 5 p.m. in Downers Grove. All of the mothers who may attend already have been invited, Connelly said.
