The York boys golf team was not able to advance to the Class 3A state tournament Monday, but the season is not over for senior Jake Wilms.
Wilms shot a 76 Tuesday at the St. Charles Sectional at St. Andrews Golf & Country Club, good enough to qualify as an individual for state, held this year on Oct. 16 and 17 at The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course in Bloomington.
The Dukes finished sixth overall Tuesday with a 326 team score. Waubonsie Valley won the sectional with a 302. St. Charles East shot a 304 and also advanced to the state tournament.
