Boys Soccer

The Trojans fell 3-2 to Wheaton Academy in Private School League action on Sept. 25. TC received goals from Justin Groenewold and Zach Dobey. Dobey also collected an assist on Groenewold’s goal.

Boys golf

TC defeated Illiana Christian 156-170 on Sept. 25. Andrew Woodhull shot a 33, Thomas Huiner had a 39, Trevor Gorman had a 41 and Kyle Venhousen posted a 43. On Tuesday, the Trojans defeated Walther Lutheran 170-185. Woodhull shot a 38, Venhousen had a 42, Huiner posted a 43 and Mike Hennel shot a 47.

Girls volleyball

After coming in seventh place at the Manteno Tournament last weekend, which featured Anneke Stremler make the all-tournament team, the Trojans went back into Private Shool League play and fell 25-15, 25-22 to Chicago Christian. TC (5-12, 2-2) was led by Stremler’s seven kills and Elise Biesboer’s three service aces.

Girls tennis

After defeated Nazareth Academy 4-1 on Sept. 26, the Trojans continued their strong play this past Tuesday with a 5-0 win over Chicago Christian. Against Nazareth, Marissa Hegel (No. 1) and Ava Jokich (No. 2) won in Singles while Lauren Troxel and Mary Beth Langkamp (No. 1), Janna Strodtman and Steph Hoekstra (No. 3) and Ashley Tameling and Liz Loerop (No. 4) all won in doubles. Against Chicago Christian, Hegel (No. 1) and Jokich (No. 2) won in singles while Langkamp and Troxel (No. 1), Brittany Vander Naald and Joy Vander Dyke (No. 2), Hoekstra and Strodtman (No. 3) and Tameling and Loerop (No. 4) all won in doubles.
