Girls tennis
The Trojans defeated Leyden 5-2 recently. Marissa Hegel (No. 1) and Stephanie Hoekstra (No. 2) each won in singles. Mary Beth Langkamp and Lauren Troxel (No. 1), Janna Strodtman and Ava Jokich (No. 3) and Ashley Tameling and Liz Loerop (No. 4) all won in doubles.
Girls volleyball
On Oct. 2, TC dominated Luther South 25-5, 25-10 in Private School League action. Katie Vander Veld had five service aces, Chelsea Bardolph had nine service points and two aces while Elizabeth powers had six digs.
Boys golf
The Trojans came in second place at the Private School League Tournament on Sept. 29 with a 334. Wheaton Academy won te event with a 310. Andrew Woodhull came in third place overall after shooting a 77. He was named to the all-conference team. Trevor Gorman shot an 87 (18th place), Thomas Huiner had an 89 (24th), Mike Hennel had a 90 (25th) and Dane VanReken shot a 93 (26th).
Boys soccer
TC came away with a 1-1 tie to Addison Trail on Oct. 4. The Blazers scored with three minutes remaining in the first half while the Trojans’ Jeb Nash recorded a goal with 15 minutes remaining in regulation.
