Lombard, IL -

Glenbard East High School teachers Nicole Miller and Jana Yetzke will share a video of their summer trip to the base camp of Mt. Everest.

The documentary ‘Finding Everest’ will be shown at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22 in Glenbard East’s Rider Hall, 1014 S. Main St., Lombard.

Miller and Yetzke trekked up the mountain to raise money to sponsor children at the Khumjung School in the Khumba region. It costs $200 a year for a child to attend Khumjung; and the average Nepalese citizen earns a dollar a day.

Glenbard East students helped in the fundraising process by selling Tootsie Pops for the children of Khumjung. The adventure classes at the school raised $1,850.
