An armed robbery was reported in Lombard at about 3:45 p.m. Feb. 10 at a business in the 400 block of East Route 38, police said.
A man wearing a black mask went into the business, pulled out a dark-colored handgun and told an employee to give him the money from the register, police said. After the employee stepped back, the man grabbed the money from the register and checked to see if there was more money anywhere. Upon finding none, the man left on foot, police said.
A canine unit from Darien was called out to track the man.
