ELMHURST, IL -

Items reported stolen

• Someone stole a wallet from a woman’s purse while she was eating at Panera Bread, 108 W. North Ave., between 7 and 7:15 p.m. Dec. 9, police said. The woman said two men sat unusually close to her right before the wallet went missing. The wallet contained $25 in cash and several credit cards. Another wallet was reported stolen from Panera Bread the day before, between 12:15 and 1:45 p.m., police said.

• Someone stole a roughly 30-foot-long copper drain spout, valued at $1,000, from St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 125 W. Church St., between 8:45 p.m. Dec. 6 and 8:45 a.m. Dec. 7, said police.

Conduct charges pressed

Daniel J. Fioravanti, 38, of Wheaton, was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication after he slipped on a patch of ice at about 2 a.m. Dec. 9 in the 100 block of York Street, police said.

Commercial burglary reported

Someone cut a hole in a fence to gain entry to the south side of Central States Trucking, 801 N. Industrial Drive, and proceeded to cut the locks off of 20 shipping trailers between 5 p.m. Dec. 7 and 5 a.m. Dec. 8, said police. Nothing was reported missing at the time of the report.

Residential break-in reported

Someone entered a garage in the 400 block of South Rex Boulevard and took a purse, wallet and bracelet, together valued at $1,260, from an unlocked vehicle between 8:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5:30 a.m. Dec. 5, police said.

Motor vehicles burglarized

• Someone entered a vehicle in the 400 block of Prospect Avenue and took a navigation unit valued at $700 between 1 a.m. Nov. 27 and 1 a.m. Dec. 6, said police.

• Someone used an unlocked window to gain entry to a garage in the 700 block of south Washington Street and took $2 in change and an I-Pass transponder from a vehicle between 11 a.m. Dec. 2 and 9:15 a.m. Dec. 3, said police.

Illegal weapon discovered

Jason R. Schultz, 33, 550 Edgewood Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon after an officer found him with a button-activated switchblade while serving him a failure-to-appear warrant at his home at about 7 p.m. Dec. 5, police said.

Alcohol charges pressed

Douglas Hames, 49, of El Monte, Calif., was charged with driving under the influence at about 1 a.m. Dec. 5 on Butterfield Road, police said.

Pump and run reported

An unspecified amount of gas was reported stolen at about 8 p.m. Dec. 8 at Road Ranger, 909 E. Route 38, police said.

Battery charges filed

• Rogelio Perez, 21, of Lombard; Eder Zuniga, 19, of Villa Park; and Miguel Vazquez, 24, of Lombard were all charged with battery at about 3:45 a.m. Dec. 9 on the 800 block of East Route 38, police said.

• Craig Judd, 50, of Lombard was charged with battery at about 6 p.m. Dec. 9 on the 1300 block off South Finley Road, police said.

Drunken driving charges filed

• Allen C. Genge, 50, 434 N. Lombard Ave., Lombard, was charged with driving under the influence at about 10 p.m. Nov. 26 at the intersection of North and Addison avenues, police said.

• Mimi J. Rushing-Nolan, 41, 429 E. Maple St., Lombard, was charged with drunken driving at about 12:15 a.m. Nov. 25 at the intersection of Route 83 and St. Charles Road, police said.

• Larry J. Patton, 44, of Glendale Heights was charged with drunken driving and driving without headlights at 1 a.m. Nov. 22 at the intersection of Ardmore and North avenues, police said.

• Michael V. Zuro, 19, of La Grange was charged with driving under the influence, speeding and underage drinking at about 1:45 a.m. Nov. 24 at the intersection of North and Ardmore avenues, police said.
