Lombard looking for “Senior of the Year”

Nominations are being sought for the village of Lombard’s “Senior of the Year” award.
Nominees must be Lombard residents and 65 or older. Nominations, which must be submitted by Sept. 1, must include 50 words or less on why the senior should be considered for the award and a short biography of the person.
The winners will be selected by the Community Relations Committee and will receive the Village President’s Award and a gift certificate to a local restaurant. The Senior of the Year award winners also will ride in the 2010 Lilac Parade.
Completed nominations can be sent to: Community Development Department, Attention: Senior of the Year Award, 255 E. Wilson Ave., Lombard, IL 60148. Nominations will be accepted by e-mail at kottj@villageoflombard.org or by fax at (630) 629-2374.
Awards will be presented at the Village’s Senior Fair on Oct. 7.
