Candidates for the DuPage County Board in the 2nd and 3rd districts and Forest Preserve Board candidates will debate at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Downers Grove.

In this moderated forum, candidates will be asked questions on capital projects, jobs, transportation and the environment.

Candidates in the 2nd District include incumbent Republicans Patrick O’Shea of Lombard and Brian Sheahan of Elmhurst and Democrats Barbara Dahl and Max Havlick, both of Villa Park. Candidates in the 3rd District include incumbent Republican Michael McMahon of Hinsdale, Republican John Curran of Woodridge as well as Democrats Bob Brandt of Woodridge and Karol Sole of Westmont.

The Forest Preserve Board candidates are Republican Linda Painter of Hinsdale and Democrat Matt Mostowik of Darien.

The event, which is sponsored by the Downers Grove Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Elmhurst and Downers Grove/Woodridge/Lisle Leagues of Women Voters will take place at the council chambers at Downers Grove Village Hall, 801 Burlington Avenue.
