A man charged with collecting money from two teenage prostitutes in Elmhurst and having sex with one of the girls has pleaded not guilty.

Alan Moore, 21, of Milwaukee entered his plea Friday in DuPage County Circuit Court before Judge Blanche Hill Fawell. A grand jury indicted him the previous day on charges of juvenile pimping and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.  

Moore is charged with taking money Sept. 11 from the two girls, who were both younger than 17, according to court documents. The girls received the money from others in exchange for sex.

In addition to collecting proceeds from the prostitution, Moore allegedly had sex with one of the girls, according to the indictment.

The incident took place at the Holiday Inn Chicago-Elmhurst, 624 N. York Road, police said.
“The hotel was cooperative (with the investigation),” Police Chief Steve Neubauer said. “Unfortunately, these things happen when you have a hotel.”

Neubauer declined to comment further on the case, referring questions to the DuPage County state’s attorney’s office.

If convicted of juvenile pimping, Moore faces four to 15 years in prison. Aggravated criminal sexual abuse carries a possible prison sentence of three to seven years.
