Lombard, IL -

Lombard Police officers are searching for a suspect who robbed a loan store along Roosevelt Road Tuesday afternoon.

The Lombard Police Department was dispatched to The Cash Store, 266 E. Roosevelt Road, at about 1 p.m. for the report of a robbery.

Lombard Deputy Police Chief Dane Cuny said a black male entered the store and displayed a hand gun.  The suspect, who was described to police as 5'10" with a medium build, clean shaven with short dreadlocks, obtained an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect fled the store on foot and headed west on Roosevelt Road.  He was reportedly wearing a long sleeved light colored shirt and glasses.

Cuny said detectives and officers gathered evidence and collected video surveillance from the area.  He said the store was equipped with video cameras and officers are actively pursuing leads to find the suspect.
