Blanche E. Hill, Chief Executive Officer of Suburban Bank & Trust, has been named the recipient of the 2011 Friend of the Children Award by the Elmhurst Children’s Assistance Foundation.
Hill is also co-founder of Superior Ambulance, and a long-time supporter of the Glenwood School for Boys and Girls. In addition to ECAF, other organizations supported by Hill and Suburban Bank & Trust include Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst Art Museum, Elmhurst Historical Museum, Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra, the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art, Special Kids Day, Elmhurst Park District, District 205 Foundation, and the Elmhurst YMCA.
“It is a great pleasure to give back, both personally and professionally, to a community that has done so much for all of us over the years,” Hill said in 2008 on behalf of Suburban Bank and Trust upon accepting the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce award for Business of the Year.
