Thefts reported

A box containing paperwork and $2,500 cash was reported stolen from a home at about 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 on the 300 block of North Myrtle Avenue.

A Weber grill and black metal circular fire pit was reported stolen at about 9:12 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30 from the driveway of a home on the 500 block of North Indiana Street.

A bag containing candy, $20 cash and a Panasonic camera valued at $350 was reported stolen from a woman trick-or-treating with her son at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 at Fairview and Montrose avenues, police said.

Wedding ring missing

A wedding ring valued at $150 was reported missing at about 11:22 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2 on the Prairie Path between Poplar Avenue and Spring Road, police said.

DUI charges filed

April Staples, 44, of 442 Hawthorne Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence at about 1:21 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 in the parking lot at 215 S. Route 83, police said.

Jacquelyn Wojcik, 21, of 749 Brentwood Drive, Bensenville, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence after a roadside safety check at 12:59 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at North and Addison avenues, police said.

Mainor Ramos, 23, of 615 N. Highview Ave., Addison, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence after a roadside safety check at 1:53 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at North and Addison avenues, police said.

Filippo Principato, 25, of 477 N. Willow Road, Elmhurst, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence at about 1:59 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at Addison Avenue and Second Street, police said.

Ruben Felipe, 22, of 704 W. 65th St., Westmont, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence at about 4:03 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at Roosevelt Road and Route 83, police said.

Domestic battery charged

Grant Hehr, 18, of 271 Glenview Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with domestic violence, battery and resisting arrest at about 3:06 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 at his home.

Wallet taken from car

A wallet containing a driver’s license, $19 in cash, credit cards and debit cards was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at about 3:09 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 on the 500 block of West Comstock Avenue, police said.

Items stolen from home

Four diamond rings and other miscellaneous items were reported stolen at about 9:25 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 from a home on the 300 block of Evergreen Lane.

Drug charges filed

Percy Early, 55, of 671 Hearth Lane, Carol Stream, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Interstate 290 and North Avenue, police said.

Deanna Sanchez, 21, of 165 Franklin Drive, Northlake, and Anthony Vivirito, 23, of 5201 S. Merrimac Ave., Chicago, were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 9:16 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 in the parking lot at the Holiday Inn Elmhurst, 624 N. York Road, police said.

Three juveniles were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at about 9:56 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 in a paper-recycling Dumpster at Conrad Fischer Elementary School, police said.

Roger Mayes, 21, of 5644 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago, and Sarah Gehrig, 21, of the same address were charged with possession of marijuana at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, Tuesday at York Street and Fremont Avenue, police said.

Harboring a runaway

David Amsden, 50, of 728 Washington St., Elmhurst, was charged with harboring a runaway at about 10:23 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 at the McDonald’s on 190 E. Butterfield Road, police said.

Property damage reported

The parking brake air lines to six semi-trailers were reported cut at about 1:10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 at McMaster-Carr Supply Company, 355 Romans Road, police said.

Toilet paper and tampons in a trash can were burned at about 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 inside the women’s bathroom in the pavilion at Berens Park, police said.

A wooden fence by the parking lot of West Suburban Community Church reportedly had red spray paint on it, causing about $100 of damage at about 9:54 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at the Church.

Retail theft

Leah Brosky, 18, of 2N440 Lloyd Ave., Lombard, was charged with theft and possession of alcohol by a minor and Colin Nelson, 19, of 1174 Cactus Trail, Carol Stream, was charged with state retail theft at about 6:21 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 at Dominick’s at 215 S. Route 83.

Disorderly conduct

James Miller, 49, of 380 S. Sunnyside Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with disorderly conduct-public intoxication at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Fairview Avenue and Randolph Street, police said.

Daniel Hetzner, 20, of 15W332 Lexington Street, Elmhurst, was charged with disorderly conduct and consumption of alcohol by a minor at about 1:53 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at 615 S. Hawthorne Ave., police said.

Robert Schnable, 48, of 120 W. Jackson St., Villa Park, was charged with disorderly conduct-public intoxication, at about 7:55 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at 360 S. Prospect Ave., police said.

Eggs thrown at car

A Chevy Malibu reportedly was egged by 3 to 4 young men, causing approximately $800 of damage at about 4:56 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, while waiting during a red light at Lake St. and Church Road, police said.

Tools taken from van

Two bags of tools valued at $1,000 was reported taken out of an unlocked van at about 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2 in the parking lot of the Comcast building on 155 Industrial Drive, police said.
