Grace L. and Wilbur E. Lippert of Elmhurst celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on June 29, 2008, at Epiphany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elmhurst where they have been members for 50 years. They met at the Crystal Ballroom in Fargo, N.D., where Grace was teaching elementary school and Wilbur was a student at North Dakota State University. They were married at First Lutheran Church in Litchville, N.D., on June 28, 1958, and have lived in Elmhurst for 50 years.
The Lipperts have two daughters, Rev. Muriel J. Lippert and Nancy (John) Walsh; and five grandchildren, Emma, Eric, Lauren, Alex and Maureen.
