Car burglarized
A car parked at McCollum Park, 6801 Main St., had its window smashed and a handbag taken from it between 6 and 7:15 p.m. Oct. 2, according to police. A credit card taken from the handbag was used at Best Buy for a $988 purchase, according to police. The handbag was valued at $50.
Bicycle stolen
Police said a bicycle was stolen from the Main Street Depot train station, 1000 Burlington Ave., between 6:45 a.m. Sept. 30 and 6:45 p.m. Oct. 1. The bike, valued at $365, was locked on a rack on the north side of the train tracks.
Garage burglarized
A bicycle and a distance gauge were stolen from a garage in the 6800 block of Barrett Street between 5 and 8 p.m. Sept. 26, according to police reports. The loss is estimated at $520.
Woman charged with DUI
A Lemont woman was charged with drunken driving at 4:15 a.m. Sept. 28, after police stopped her at Fairmount Avenue and Summit Street. Police said Ann N. Cifaldi, 23, drove over the double yellow lane marker. She was charged with driving under the influence, driving without insurance and improper lane use.
Mailbox damaged
A mailbox was dented with an unknown object between 2 p.m. Sept. 30 to 2 p.m. Oct. 1 in the 1300 block of Brookside Lane, according to reports. Damage is estimated at $50.
