Prescription drug charges
Police said Liana J. Moccio, 47, of 2417 Green Valley Road, Darien, was charged with unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance after being arrested at 10 a.m. June 18 at Walgreens, 7221 Lemont Road.
Moccio tried to obtain a prescription illegally by giving the pharmacy a fake prescription, police added.
Tail lights stolen
Police said rear tail lights were stolen from a car between 8 p.m. June 18 and 8:30 a.m. June 19 while parked at the Holiday Inn Express, 3031 Finley Road.
Police said the stolen property is valued at $300.
Car burglarized
Police said a car was burglarized between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. June 20 while parked on the 2600 block of Warrenville Road.
Police said a window was smashed and compact discs, valued at $4,200, were missing. Other stolen items included a radar detector valued at $100 and a Global Positioning System valued at $300. The damage to the car is estimated to be $200, police added.
Man charged with drugs
A man was arrested for drunken driving and drug possession at 11:15 p.m. June 20 at Ogden Avenue and Belmont Road after police stopped him for nearly hitting the curb.
After searching Milan M. Solujic, 45, 3189 Fox Ridge Court, Woodridge, police said they found a bag of cocaine in his pocket.
Solujic was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance and improper lane use.
Bird feeders stolen
Police said two bird feeders were stolen from Elegant Peddler, 417 Ogden Ave., between 2 p.m. June 20 and 6:30 June 21.
Police said the 40-inch tall metal bird feeders were kept outside the store. The estimated value of the feeders is $200.
Car damaged
Police said a car was damaged by a large landscaping rock between 1 and 1:15 a.m. June 21 on the 4600 block of Cumnor Road.
Police said the landscaping rock was used to smash the car’s window.
Purse stolen
Police said a car was burglarized between 9 p.m. June 20 and 1:30 a.m. June 21 while parked at North Beach Club, 1211 Butterfield Road. Police said a window was smashed and a purse with $779 in contents was taken. The estimated damage is $300.
Mailbox damaged
Police said a mailbox was damaged by fireworks between 2 and 5:30 a.m. June 21 on the 100 block of Chicago Avenue. Police said a firework went off inside the mailbox. Damage is estimated to be $25.
GPS unit stolen
Police said a Global Positioning System was stolen from a car between 4:30 and 9:30 p.m. June 22 while parked at Extended Stay Hotel, 3150 Finley Road. Police said the car’s window was broken. The estimated damage is $400, and the estimated value of the stolen property is $800.
Woman charged with DUI
A woman was arrested for drunken driving at 1 a.m. June 23 at Austin Street and Fairview Avenue after police saw her car touch the double yellow street lines. Police said the car also had a flat tire.
Kelly A. Lee, 43, of Carol Stream was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, no rear registration light and unsafe tires.
Man charged with DUI
A man was arrested for drunken driving at 2:15 a.m. June 22 at Butterfield and Finley roads.
Police said Michael J. Milazzo, 19, of Lisle was tailgating another car and driving with his high beams on.
Milazzo was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to dim headlights and following too closely.
Car burglarized
Police said a car was burglarized between 6:30 p.m. June 24 and 5:30 p.m. June 25 in the 4800 block of Seeley Avenue. Police said an iPod, Global Positioning System and a pair of sunglasses were missing. The estimated loss is $1,350.
Car, boat burglarized
Police said a car and a boat were burglarized between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. June 25 in the 4100 block of Lindley Street. Police said a stereo was stolen from the car, and a boat cover was taken off a boat parked next to the home. The estimated loss is $750.
Home burglarized
Police said a home was burglarized the evening of June 26 in the 1400 block of Grant Street. Police said the home’s overhead garage door was found open. The estimated loss is $8,060, and the damage to the property is estimated at $300.
Teen arrested on warrant
Police said they arrested a teenager wanted on a warrant out of Kane County for aggravated battery at 7:45 p.m. June 26 at 802 Warren Avenue.
Police said they saw Ronnell C. Spencer, 17, of Chicago walking near Highland and Warren avenues when he began to run from the police. After catching Spencer, police said they charged him with resisting arrest.
Aggravated DUI alleged
A man was arrested for drunken driving after police said he was involved in a collision at 10:45 p.m. June 26 at 75th Street and Fairmount Avenue.
Police said Christopher S. Prysny, 37, of Willowbrook was charged with five felonies, including two counts of aggravated driving under the influence because it was his third or subsequent offense, two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol causing crash/great bodily harm and aggravated driving while license suspended.
Woman charged with theft
Police said a woman attempted to leave TJ Maxx, 7349 Lemont Road, at 7:30 p.m. June 27 without paying for merchandise.
Police said Alsultani Ghada, 44, 2715 Mitchell Drive, Woodridge, put shirts in her purse after removing anti-theft sensors from them. The merchandise totaled $128. Ghada was charged with retail theft.
iPod taken from car
Police said a car was burglarized between 10:30 p.m. June 28 and 10 a.m. June 29 while parked on Saratoga Avenue. Police said an iPod valued at $325 was missing.
Woman charged with DUI
A woman was arrested for drunken driving at 2 a.m. June 24 at Ogden and Oakwood avenues after police saw her car tailgating another vehicle.
Cristina L. Hoffman, 25, 1410 Golden Bell Court, Downers Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, following too closely and improper headlighting.
Park vandalized
Police said the east side of the tennis courts at McCollum Park, 6801 Main St., was spray-painted between 9:30 a.m. June 27 and 7 a.m. June 30. The estimated damage is $300.
