Man arrested in connection with burglary

A Downers Grove area man was arrested in connection with a residential burglary that occurred Tuesday, Sept. 29.
Devin Wisniewski, 24, of the 5700 block of Woodward Avenue, unincorporated Downers Grove Township has been charged with residential burglary, attempted residential burglary and possession of burglary tools.
The alleged burglary occurred Tuesday in the 5600 block of Pershing Road, police said. Authorities responded to a call of a suspicious man carrying a television between homes. A police canine led sheriff’s deputies and detective to Wisniewski’s home, where they recovered a stolen television and other electronics, police said. A silver Mongoose mountain bike also was found, but its owner is unknown, police said.
Wisniewski has also been linked to an attempted burglary on the 5700 block of Woodward Avenue, according to police.
Wisniewski is currently being held in DuPage County Jail and his bond is set for $200,000. He will appear in court DuPage County Circuit Court at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 20.
