Parents looking to purchase a new home often factor the local school system into the equation to make sure their children receive a top-notch education. So when Community Unit School District 201 announced they are considering closing South Elementary School in Westmont, parents were understandably upset.

District 61 deserves second chance

Voters in Darien School District 61 spoke clearly last fall when they overwhelmingly shot down a tax hike bid. The School District is coming back for a second go-around, and we think the plan merits another look.
