
Three people were arrested in connection with drug and weapons charges after Westmont police responded to a complaint that they allegedly trying to break into cars at an apartment complex.
Two of the suspects remained in DuPage County Jail as of Monday, June 22, police said.
Police responded to a suspicious person call at about 9:30 p.m. June 12 at the Eagle Creek apartment complex, located in the 1000 block of South Williams Street.
Lonnie A. Glenn, 37, of Calumet City, Steven N. Davis, 42, of Bolingbrook, and Fredrick Hoskins, 21, 1020 S. Williams Street, Westmont were taken into custody on various charges, police said.
Glenn was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and obstructing a peace officer after police said a semi-automatic handgun was found in the waistband of his pants, said Westmont Police Sgt. Jim Gunther.
Davis was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Hoskins was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of open alcohol in a motor vehicle, police said.
Glenn and Davis were transported to the DuPage County Jail for a bond hearing. Hoskins was processed and released at the Westmont Police Department, police said.
Glenn is being held on 10 percent of a $100,000 bond, and Davis on 10 percent of a $30,000 bond, Gunther said.
Police said Glenn was sentenced to 25 years in jail in 1994, but declined to say when he was released.
