The Westmont Police Department is recommending that Halloween trick-or-treating be limited between the hours of  2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.

Police recommend that younger trick-or-treaters be finished by dusk, and asks drivers be mindful of extra pedestrian traffic, especially in residential areas. Parents should assist trick-or-treaters while crossing the street and to cross only at designated crosswalks, police added.

Residents are reminded to call the police immediately if they witness illegal or suspicious behavior.
