Senior housing specialist Andrea Donovan will offer a free presentation at 10:30 a.m. July 10 at the Lincoln Center, 935 Maple Ave.
The one-hour program is called “Senior Living Myths Unmasked: Separating Fact from Fiction.”
Donovan is a former director of admissions and marketing at a continuing care retirement community. Since 2006, she has spent over 2,000 hours of research touring and analyzing more than 170 independent living, assisted living and nursing home communities in the Chicago area.
“Having advised so many seniors and their caregivers over the years and having walked similar journeys with members of my own family, I know how stressful and scary the selection process can be,” Donovan said in a written statement. “Individuals and families might feel incredible pressures in terms of time, ill-health, and finances or they might struggle with more subtle feelings of sadness as they face a major life transition.”
Donovan graduated from St. Mary’s College at Notre Dame with a degree in sociology and communication. She also received an MBA from Loyola University.
