Man charged with DUI

A man was charged with drunken driving after being arrested at about 12:30 a.m. May 15 at 55th Street and Brookbank Road.

Police said Derek B. Kisel, 27, 5312 Main St., Downers Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding.

DUI alleged

A man was charged with drunken driving after being arrested at about 12:30 a.m. May 17 at Fairview Avenue and Judd Street in Darien.

Police said Clifford W. Miklos, 49, of Lemont, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, improper lane usage and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

Car reported burglarized

Police said a car parked in the 2200 block of Prentiss Drive was burglarized between 11:30 p.m. May 19 and 10:15 a.m. May 20. Police said the driver and passenger seats were missing along with a navigation unit. The loss is estimated at $5,250 and damage is about $4,750.

Man faces DUI charge

A man was charged with drunken driving after being arrested at about 11 p.m. May 20 at Fairview Avenue and 63rd Street. Police said Mark A. McNellis, 36, of Darien, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Truck reported damaged

Police said a truck was damaged between 10 and 11 p.m. May 22 in the 1100 block of Barneswood Drive. Police said a landscaping brick was thrown through the windshield of the truck.

Flag stolen

Police said an American flag and flag pole were stolen from a home in the 5100 block of Washington Street between 4 p.m. May 22 and 7:15 a.m. May 23. The loss is estimated at $150.

Two cars burglarized

Police said two cars parked in the lot at Whitlock Park, 4064 Cumnor Road, were burglarized between 7:30 and 8 p.m. May 24.

Police said both cars had a shattered window. A purse was missing from one car. An iPod and cash were removed from another car. The total damage is estimated at $600 and the loss is about $234.

Mailbox reported taken

Police said a mailbox was stolen from a home in the 6800 block of Saratoga Avenue between 3 and 9:30 a.m. May 25. The loss is estimated at $60.

Westmont

Bicycle stolen from home

Police said a resident in the 0 to 100 block of North Wilmette Avenue reported a bicycle, valued at $5,000, was stolen from the property. The theft occurred between May 18 and May 20, police said.

Camera taken from school

Police said a student reported a camera, valued at $713, from a locker sometime between May 12 and May 13 at Westmont High School, 909 N. Oakwood Drive.

Man charged with DUI

Robert J. Beales, 47, 218 S. Park St., Westmont, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop that occurred at about 2:30 p.m. May 18 in the 600 block of North Cass Avenue, police said.

Employee cited

Angela M. Mugnaini, 27, 52 W. 59th St.,  Westmont, was charged with selling tobacco to minors during a police compliance check May 16, police said.

Obstruction alleged

Richard L. Hodges, 20, of Bellwood, was charged with driving with a suspended license and attempted obstruction of justice after being arrested at about 7 a.m. May 16 near Ogden and Cass avenues, police said.

Man faces drug charge

John R. Plesha, 21, of Justice, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver after being arrested at about 11:30 p.m. May 15 near Cass Avenue and 67th Street, police said.

Assault alleged

Jose M. Villanueva, 21, 411 S. Cass Ave., Westmont, was charged with assault and battery after police said they responded to a disturbance at about 2:30 a.m. May 15 in the 300 block of North Cass Ave.
