The West region of the organization Parent and Child Education and Support (PACES), which serves Downers Grove, Westmont, Hinsdale, LaGrange, Lombard, Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Bolingbrook, Woodridge, Lisle and Oak Brook, will begin its monthly meetings Sept. 9 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 525 W. 63 St., Downers Grove. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. with speaker talking about the major roles of movement, music and play in the growth of young children. 

PACES supports parents with children from newborns through preschool age, and offers educational seminars and workshops, playgroups, social activities for parents, tot outings, monthly expert parent education meetings, newsletters, a preschool guidebook, and more. Free babysitting is provided and reservations are suggested.
