A small electrical fire in a mechanical room at the Oak Brook Hills Hotel was quickly contained by fire crews Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported, but the hotel was evacuated as a precaution.
The call came in around 10 a.m. at the hotel, 3500 Midwest Road, Westmont. Fire crews from Westmont, Downers Grove, Oak Brook, Clarendon Hills, and Hinsdale responded.
Deputy Chief Dave Weiss of the Westmont Fire Department said the small fire was most likely put out with a fire extinguisher and that there was more smoke than flames.
There were no damage estimates as of Tuesday morning.
