Retail theft charged
Michael Spencer, 30, of Chicago was charged with retail theft at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at Fry’s Electronics, 3300 Finley Road, according to reports.

A loss prevention officer saw Spencer place a “Stargate” DVD special edition into an empty brown box inside a plastic Fry’s bag and leave the store without paying for the DVD, according to reports.

Bike stolen from station
A black Gary Fisher Kaitai bike was taken from the Main Street Depot, 1000 Burlington Ave., between 4 p.m. Nov. 10 and 3:30 p.m. Nov. 15, according to reports.

Woman charged with DUI
Jamie Curtis, 43, of 339 Lincoln Ave., Downers Grove was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage at midnight Nov. 16 at Warrenville Road and Authority Drive, according to reports.

Man charged with DUI
Martinez Butler, 46, 5610 Foresthill Drive, of Clarendon Hills was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license is suspended, illegal transportation of alcohol and speeding at 10:15 a.m. Nov. 17 at Main Street and Meadowlawn Avenue, according to reports.

WOODRIDGE
Man charged with DUI
Salvador Martinez, 27, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transport of alcoholic liquor, driving without a valid driver’s license and improper lane usage.

He was arrested at about 11:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at the intersection of Route 53 and Mulligan Drive.

His passenger, Jose Antonio Jaurita, 19, of Chicago was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, police said.

Drug possession alleged
Brittany Lee, 19, 6460 Double Eagle Drive Woodridge was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:15 a.m. Nov. 11, police said.

Man nets DUI charge
Police said Jamore Richardson, 21, 3436 83rd St., Woodridge was charged with driving under the influence, speeding and criminal trespass to property.

He was arrested at about 8:30 p.m. Nov. 10 following a traffic stop at 83rd Street and Woodward Avenue.

Two counts of DUI charged
Felipe Manqueroz, 42, of Romeoville was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, driving with a suspended license, improper lane usage and warrant service stemming from another jurisdiction.

He was arrested at about 2 a.m. Nov. 10 following a traffic stop southbound Veterans Memorial Tollway and Joliet Road, police said.

Man nets DUI charge
Nicholas Dakof, 28, of Downers Grove was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.

He was pulled over at about midnight Nov. 10 following a traffic stop at Route 53 and Woodridge Drive, police said.

DUI, drug charges filed
John Girves, 42, of Plainfield was charged with possession of marijuana, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal transport of liquor, no vehicle registration and a moving violation.

He was arrested at about 2:30 a.m. Nov. 14 following a traffic stop near Scenicwood Lane and Elm Street, police said.

Woman nets alcohol charge
Kristen Barnhardt, 19, of Bolingbrook, was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor at about 1:30 a.m. Nov. 14 after a traffic stop in the 2800 block of 75th Street, police said.

WESTMONT
Purse taken in attack
Police are investigating a robbery complaint after a woman reported she was attacked by two men who took her purse.

According to police, the woman was walking about 8:15 p.m. Nov. 15 along the 5600 block of King Arthur Court when she was punched by two men, and had her purse stolen.

The men fled on foot, and the purse was found a short distance from the scene. Several credit cards were missing from the purse.

The first suspect was described as a white man in his early 20s, medium build wearing gym shoes, blue jeans and long sleeve shirt. The second was a black man, also in his early 20s with a medium build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Police said the woman was not seriously injured, and was not taken to the hospital.

Car burglarized on Warwick
Police said someone broke into a vehicle along the 300 block of North Warwick Avenue and removed a GPS unit, valued at $150. The incident occurred at about 3 a.m. Nov. 15, police said.

DUI alleged
Giovani Gonzalez-Reyes, 21, of Highland, Indiana, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 1:49 a.m. Nov. 15 near the area of 58th Street and Cass Avenue, police said.

Drug possession charged
Michael Cooper, 42, 6708 Aspen Lane, Westmont, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding warrant at about 8:24 a.m. Nov. 14 near the intersection of 67th and Aspen Lane, police said.
