The village of Woodridge has announced that Kathleen Rush has been appointed to the position of Woodridge Village Administrator. She was approved by the Woodridge Village Board at their June 29 meeting.
This is the second time in the last two months that a candidate has been appointed to fill the vacant spot. The board approved the appointment of Michael J. Cassady last month, but failed to come to an agreement on a contract with him, officials said.
Rush is expected to begin her work at the village on July 13.
A former employee of the village of Woodridge, Rush comes back to Woodridge from the village of Riverside, where she served as Village Administrator for eleven years. Prior to that position, Rush served the Village of Woodridge in many capacities, including Administrative Assistant, Assistant to the Village Administrator and for more than eleven years as the Assistant Village Administrator.
The appointment fills the vacancy of John Perry, who retired from the position last April after 20 years as Village Administrator.
