Man charged with DUI
A man was charged with drunken driving at 1 a.m. June 12 at Ogden and Stonewall avenues.
Police said Ernesto T. Jimenez, 29, 4658 Belmont Road, Downers Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Attempted car burglary
Police said a resident in the 700 block of 65th Street saw a group of men in the resident’s driveway attempting to break into a car at 11 p.m. June 16.
Police said the resident went outside and saw three men running away from the area. Police said no items appeared to be missing from the car.
Car reported damaged
Police said a car was burglarized between 7:45 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. June 16 while parked at the Fairview Depot train station at Fairview and Burlington avenues.
Police said the front passenger window of the car was broken and $5 in change was missing. The damage is estimated at $250.
Car reported burglarized
Police said a car parked in the 500 block of Bentley Court was burglarized between 7 p.m. June 16 and 9:30 a.m. June 17.
Police said a navigation system and $100 in coins were missing.
Window reported damaged
Police said a car window was shattered between 3:30 and 8 p.m. June 18 while parked in the 1900 block of Concord Drive.
Police said a driver’s side window was shattered, but no entry was made to the car. Damage is estimated at $500.
Wallet reported stolen
Police said a wallet was stolen from inside a car parked at X-Sport Fitness center, 3200 Finley Road, between 4:30 and 5:45 a.m. June 19.
Police said keys were taken out of a locker at the fitness center and someone later discovered their wallet was missing from their car. The loss is estimated at $310.
Cell phone reported missing
Police said a cell phone was reported missing between 1:45 and 2 a.m. June 19 from X-Sport Fitness center, 3200 Finley Road. The loss is estimated at $200.
Camera reported missing
Police said the content inside three cars parked in the 4100 block of Downers Drive appeared to be disturbed around 1:30 a.m. June 19. Police said a digital camera was missing from one of the cars. The loss is estimated at $540.
Laptop reported stolen
Police said a car was burglarized while parked in the lot at the Finley Grill Room, 3131 Finley Road, between noon and 1:30 p.m. June 19. Police said a driver’s side window was shattered and a laptop and computer bag were missing. The loss is about $1,050 and damage is estimated at $300.
GPS reported missing
Police said a car was burglarized while parked at the Extended Stay America hotel, 3150 Finley Road, between 9 p.m. June 20 and 7:45 a.m. June 21.
Police said the front passenger window was shattered and a navigation system was missing. The damage is about $500 and the loss is estimated at $400.
Car reported burglarized
Police said a car parked at the Comfort Inn, 3010 Finley Road, was burglarized between 9 p.m. June 20 and 5:30 a.m. June 21.
Police said the front passenger window was broken out and a navigation system was missing. The loss is about $400 and damage is estimated at $300.
Car reported damaged
Police said a car parked in the 6200 block of Janes Avenue was damaged between 2 and 10:30 a.m. June 20.
Police said all four car tires were cut. There were also four cuts in the cloth seat cover of the driver’s seat, police said. The damage is estimated at $1,050.
Lawn ornament missing
Police said a concrete pig statue was taken from a front yard in the 4400 block of Seeley Avenue between 7:30 p.m. June 21 and 10 a.m. June 22.
Police said the pink pig is 30 to 36 inches in height, has brown nails, fake eye lashes and is attached to a green base. The statue is valued at $300.
