Downers Grove, IL -

The Community High School District 99 Class of 2009 scored nearly two points above the state average for ACT scores, and a little more than one point above the national average.

“This (is) not a random change; these show an actual improvement,” said Superintendent Mark McDonald in the release.

Nationally the average score was 21.1 while the state of Illinois had a 20.8 average.
Community High School District 99 had a 22.7.

“The district continues to focus on improving achievement levels for each and every student, and the ACT is one small piece of the bigger picture,” Assistant Superintendent for Student Learning Mary Biniewicz said in the release.
