Clarendon Hills
Traffic stop yields arrest
Juan Deleon, 34, of Plainfield, was charged with driving with a suspended license after being arrested at about 11 p.m. Sept. 6 at Burlington and Cass avenues, police said.

Protection order violated
Suzanne Barnes, 50, 6543 Stough St., Willowbrook, was charged with violation of order of protection after being arrested at about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 7 on the 200 block of South Prospect Avenue, police said. Barnes allegedly got in an argument over the custody of her children, police added.

Car burglarized
According to police, a 2008 Lexus LS was burglarized between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 9 when it was parked in the east Lions Club lot, 100 Byrd Court. A window was broken and a bag of golf clubs and small purse were taken, police added. The total loss is $1,070.

Playground damaged
According to police, playground equipment was damaged overnight between Sept. 9 and 10 behind the Christian Church of Clarendon Hills, 5750 Holmes Ave. The damage is estimated at $600, police added.

Man found in apartment
According to police, a house was burglarized at 8:45 a.m. Sept. 11 in the 5600 block of Forest Hill Drive. When the resident returned home, a man was standing in his apartment, police said. He had come in through the window and ran away, police added.

Hinsdale
Man faces DUI charge
A man was arrested for drunken driving at about 11 p.m. Sept. 2 on the 800 block of West 55th Street, police said. Kamila Valeieva, 45, 6106 Knoll Valley Drive, Willowbrook, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use, according to police.

Teen arrested for pot
A 15-year-old Willowbrook male was arrested and later charged for illegal possession of marijuana at about 11:30 a.m. Sept. 3 at Hinsdale Central High School, 5500 S. Grant St., police said.

Cash taken from wallet
Police said $60 was removed from a wallet in a desk at RML Hospital, 5601 S. County Line Road, between 11 and 11:30 a.m. Sept. 5.

Retail theft reported
Two pieces of clothing were stolen by a woman at about 2:45 p.m. Sept. 5 at Sweet William, 15 E. First St., police said. The estimated loss is $1,760, police added.

Bicycle missing
An unlocked mountain bike was taken from a bike rack between 3:15 and 3:45 p.m. Sept. 5 at Hinsdale Middle School, 100 S. Garfield Ave., police said. The loss is estimated at $350, police added.

Police make DUI stop
A man was arrested for drunken driving at about 2:45 a.m. Sept. 6 at Route 83 and 55th Street, police said.

Stephen Jadown, 28, of Westmont, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to signal and illegal lane use, police said. Jadown also failed a breath test, police added.

Hospital theft reported
A woman was charged with theft after being arrested for stealing money from a wallet at 11 a.m. Sept. 7 at Hinsdale Hospital, 120 N. Oak St., police said.

Beth A. Forir, 36, of La Grange, allegedly removed a debit card, driver’s license, student ID and $10 to $20 in cash from a wallet in a desk, according to police.

Noise violation reported
A man was charged with violation of noise control ordinance at about 1:15 a.m. Sept. 7 on the 300 block of South Park Avenue, police said.

David Bradley, 40, 333 S. Park Ave., Hinsdale, was cited after multiple complaints of loud music being played at an unreasonable level, police said.

Bag left on porch
According to police, a bag of open personal hygiene items were left between 6 and 8 p.m. Aug. 22 on a porch in the 700 block of South Madison Street.

Police make DUI stop   
Police said Sean O’Toole, 23, 6537 Lyman Ave., Downers Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at 3 a.m. Sept. 9 at Ogden Avenue and Oak Street.
O’Toole also was charged with improper lane usage, police added.

Cigars taken
Police said a 14-year-old Hinsdale boy was charged with retail theft after being arrested at about 4:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Walgreens, 15 N. Grant St. The teen attempted to take a pack of five cigars valued at about $4, police added.

Oak Brook
Drugs alleged
Jacob Essenmacher, 29, of Downers Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs after being arrested at about 10 p.m. Aug. 23 at 35th and Adams streets, police said.

Essenmacher also was charged with possession of a controlled substance when police found a syringe, spoon and heroin in the center counsel.

Cash taken
Gregory Shires, 39, of Frankfort, was charged with theft after being arrested at 9 p.m. Aug. 27 at Macy’s Home Store, 1717 22nd St., according to police. Shires, an employee of the store, took $10 from the register, police said.

Woman caught with pot
Quynh Nguyen, 27, of Carol Stream, was charged with possession of marijuana after being arrested at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 29 in the yellow parking lot of Oakbrook Center mall, 22nd Street and Route 83, police said. Nguyen was smoking marijuana in her car, police added.

Man charged with theft
Cesar Barraza, 23, of Oswego, was charged with retail theft after being arrested at about 12:30 p.m. Aug. 28 at Macy’s, 1 Oakbrook Center, according to police.
Barraza attempted to steal a pair of men’s underwear, police added.

Clothes taken
Maria Chwastek, 69, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after being arrested at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at Macy’s, 1 Oakbrook Center, according to reports. Chwastek concealed various items of clothing valued at $356 in her purse, police said.

Police make drug arrest
Yvette Castillo, 41, of Elgin, was charged with possession of marijuana after being arrested at about 6:15 p.m. Aug. 27 in the orange parking lot of Oakbrook Center mall, 22nd Street and Route 83, police said.

Soliciting alleged
Jamilah Tabb, 25, of Dolton, was charged with soliciting without a permit after being arrested at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 3 on the 3100 block of White Oak Lane, police said.

Tabb was soliciting in the area for magazine sales, police added.

Jasmine Baker, 22, of Washington, D.C., was charged with soliciting without a permit at about 3 p.m. Sept. 3 on the 100 block of Saddle Brook Drive for also trying to sell magazines, police said.

Police said Mario Anthony Sealey, 29, of California, was charged with soliciting without a permit after being arrested at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 3 on the first block of Brighton Lane. He also was selling magazines, police added.

Jackets reported taken
Three leather jackets were taken between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Aug. 30 from the  J. Jill Store, 400 Oakbrook Center Mall, according to police. The jackets are valued at about $900, police said.

Man charged with theft
Jose Manuel Garcia, 33, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after being arrested at about 4:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at Nordstrom Rack, 2155 W. 22nd St., police said.
Garcia tried to take several items of merchandise valued at about $376, police added.

Car burglarized
Michael Jarmulak, 27, 407 Ogden Ave., Clarendon Hills, was charged with burglary from motor vehicle and possession of marijuana after being arrested at 2:15 a.m. Sept. 7 on the 600 block of Mirian Square, police said.
Jarmulak took change from a Mercedes parked in a driveway, police added.

Car parts stolen
A front tire and rim were taken between 12:30 and 4:15 p.m. Sept. 8 from a car parked at 800 Enterprise Drive, according to police. No loss amount was provided by police.

Purse taken
A 2004 Nissan Maxima had a window smashed between 6:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Marriott Hotel, 1401 22nd St., police said. A purse was taken from the back seat that contained $20, various make-up, a checkbook, and prescription sunglasses, police added.

Solicitor charged
Police said Kevin Lee Martin, 28, of Tennessee, was charged with soliciting without a permit after being arrested at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 3 in the first block of Natoma Drive. He was selling magazines, police added.
