Light bar stolen in lot
A magnetic yellow light bar was stolen from a truck roof between 9:15 p.m. Sept. 20 and 9:15 a.m. Sept. 21 on the 2600 block of 83rd Street, police said. The estimated loss is $300.

Garbage stickers stolen
Garbage stickers were removed from items at the street on the day of garbage pickup between 9 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 23 on the 6700 block of Leonard Drive, police said. The estimated loss is $16.50

Dirt bike in shed stolen
A $1,000 dirt bike was stolen from a shed in a backyard between Sept. 8 and 22 on the 3200 block of Beller Drive, police said.

Stereo stolen from car
The passenger window of a car was broken between 3:15 and 11 p.m. Sept. 27 at Home Run Inn, 7511 Lemont Road. Police said a $700 car stereo was stolen.

Stereo face plate taken
The face plate of a car stereo was stolen from an unlocked car between 9:30 and 11 p.m. Sept. 27 at the TGI Friday’s, 2201 75th St., police said. The estimated loss is $500.

Golf cart, keys stolen
A golf cart was stolen between 2:30 and 4 a.m. Sept. 26 on the 2300 block of North Frontage Road. Police said the key was in the cart. The estimated loss is $1,500.

Burr Ridge
Police make DUI arrest
Kevin Barry, 28, 201 Lake Hinsdale Drive, Willowbrook, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 29 at County Line and Plainfield roads, police said.

Light pole struck
A light pole had been stuck within the previous 48 hours after being reported at 9 a.m. Sept. 24 near Burr Ridge United-Christ Church, 15W100 Plainfield Road, poice said. The estimated loss is between $2,000 and $3,000.

Gasoline theft reported
A person in a Jeep drove off without paying for $40 of gasoline at about 6:15 p.m. Sept. 24 at Shell station, 16W601 S. Frontage Road, police said.

Willowbrook
Witness reports theft
Police said three offenders stole from K-Mart, 840 Plainfield Road, and an AmVet box at about 4:30 a.m. Sept. 10.

A contractor for Nicor told police he saw three males in a Chevy truck remove displays from the K-Mart location and then take items from the AmVet box in the parking lot. The men fled after noticing the witness. The estimated loss is $200.

Phone, computer stolen
The passenger window of a car was broken between 1:30 and 5 a.m. Sept. 12 in the 6100 block of Knollwood Road. Police said a laptop computer and iPhone were stolen from the car. The estimated loss is $1,450.

GPS taken from cars
The driver’s window of a car was broken between 2:30 p.m. Sept. 12 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 13 at the Holiday Inn, 7800 Kingery Highway. Police said a global positioning system was stolen from the car. The estimated loss is $400.

During the same time frame, the driver’s window of a car was broken at Whole Foods, 201 63rd St. Police said a $400 global positioning system was stolen.

Hit-and-run ends in DUI
Orpheus Searles, 25, 468 Butterfly Road, Bolingbrook, was arrested for drunken driving at about 12:30 a.m. Sept. 20, police said.

Orpheus backed into a car in the parking lot at Denny’s, 7737 Kingery Highway, and then fled the scene, according to police.

Police said Orpheus was charged with  driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, no valid driver’s license, squealing tires and having an outstanding warrant.

Man faces DUI charge
Miguel Gonzalez, 27, of Chicago, was arrested for drunken driving at about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 22 in the 6400 block of Route 83.

Police said Gonzalez was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving on a suspended license, improper lane usage, no seat belt. He also was wanted on a warrant.

Five pie racks stolen
Five aluminum pie racks were stolen between 11 p.m. Sept. 18 and 9 a.m. Sept. 19 at Baker’s Square, 7409 Kingery Highway. The estimated loss is $4,000.

Urine found in elevator
Police said that someone urinated in an elevator between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 18 at Hinsdale Lake Commons in the 6300 block of Americana Drive. Three people entered the elevator, one urinated in it, and kicked over and broke a planter. The estimated loss is $100.

Subway window broken
Police said the front window of Subway, 6940 Kingery Highway, was broken between 8 p.m. Sept. 20 and 9:30 a.m. Sept. 21. The estimated loss is $1,000.

Man faces DUI charge
Police said Arunas Venckus, 44, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at about 2 a.m. Sept. 28 on the 7800 block of Route 83.
