Burr Ridge
Gun found near hotel
Police said an employee at Extended Stay American hotel, 15w122 S. Frontage Road, found a black case containing a Walther P22 Pistol at about 1 p.m. Dec. 1 .

Car lock broken
Police said the passenger side lock of a car was broken at about 10:30 p.m. Nov. 26 at Everest College, 6860 N. Frontage Road. Nothing was reported taken from the vehicle.

Home burglarized
Police said a couple returned home to find their front door open and some items missing at about 9 p.m. Nov. 27 in the 11500 block of 79th Street. Police did not specify what items were stolen from the home.

Traffic stop yields arrest
Police said Joseph Quinn, 20, of Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and underage drinking after being arrested at about 2:30 a.m. Nov. 28 at Plainfield Road and Route 83.

Drug charges alleged
Police said Burnal Hansen, 24, 647 W. 67th Place, Willowbrook, was charged with an in state warrant, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at about 9:15 p.m. Dec. 5 at 79th Street and Drew Avenue.

Failed sobriety tests, DUI
Police said Lina Kelmonas, 33, of Hoffman Estates, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he failed sobriety tests at about 2:15 a.m. Dec. 7 at Route 83 and Jeans Road.

Traffic stop yields arrest
Police said Vincent Contraras, 23, 5964 S. Laurel Ave., Willowbrook, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at about 12:45 a.m. Dec. 8 at Nielson Lane and Route 83.

Coat, cell phone stolen
A wool coat and cell phone were stolen between 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. Dec. 4 at Lifetime Fitness, 601 Burr Ridge Parkway. Police said the coat was hanging on a coat rack in the men’s locker room. The estimated loss is $400.

Darien
Snow plow stolen
Police said a snow plow that mounts to a car was taken between 3:30 p.m. Nov. 28 and 3 p.m. Dec. 1 from the Darien Park District, 802 Plainfield Road. The estimated loss is $4,800.

Retail theft attempted
Christian Wells, 18, of Bolingbrook, was charged with retail theft after being arrested at about 12:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at The Home Depot, 2101 75th St.

Police said Wells was seen removing and concealing two electrical circuit breakers and leaving the store. The items were valued at $288.

Coat stolen from car
Police said the rear window of a car was broken and a leather coat was stolen between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 2 in the 1100 block of Plainfield Road. Police did not provide a loss amount.

Wallet taken, cards used
A wallet was stolen off a check-out counter at about 2:15 p.m. Dec. 2 at Walgreen’s, 7516 Cass Ave. Police said the credit cards in the stolen wallet were used for purchases at other stores.

Car mirror broken
Police said the driver’s door mirror of a car was broken off between 6:30 and 9 p.m. Nov. 27 in the 1600 block of Coachmans Road. The estimated loss is $630.

Vehicle window broken
Police said the driver’s door window was broken between 8:30 p.m. Dec. 3 and 2:30 p.m.  Dec. 4 in the 1000 block of Cherokee Drive. Nothing was reported missing.

Accident leads to arrest
Ronald Johnson, 40, of Berwyn, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at about 2:45 p.m. Dec. 4 at Plainfield Road and Seminole Drive.

Police said Johnson was involved in an accident with another car. Johnson was injured and taken to Adventist Hinsdale Hospital.

DUI arrest follows crash
Patricia Cook, 48, 7909 Knottingham Circle, Darien, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at about 7:15 p.m. Dec. 4 at Cass Avenue and Plainfield Road.

Police said Cook rear-ended another car. Nobody was injured. Cook also was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and no insurance.

Decorations hit by car
Police said two white wooden reindeer were run over by car that drove across a front yard between 10:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and 6 a.m. Dec. 5 in the 1600 block of Claremont Drive. The estimated loss is $50.

Willowbrook
DUI arrest, other charges
Bartosz Bolkunowicz, 18, of Romeoville, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at about 4 a.m. Nov. 30 in the 7700 block of Route 83, according to police. Bolkunowicz was also charged with improper lane usage and open alcohol.

DUI, improper lane usage
Matthew Beuke, 19, 605 E. 6th St., Hinsdale, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at about 1:45 a.m. Nov. 27 at Bentley Road and 63rd Street, according to police. Beuke was also charged with improper lane usage.

Failure to signal, DUI
Jose Lopez, 45, of Berwyn, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to signal at about 1:45 a.m. Nov. 27 in the 7800 block of Eleanor Place, according to police.

DUI for Willowbrook man
Arthur Carden, 29, 5980 Laurel Lane, Willowbrook, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at about 10:30 p.m. Nov. 24 in the 6300 block of Route 83, according to police. Carden was also arrested for operating an uninsured car and improper backing.

Owner arrested for dog
Casselyn Feinstein, 24, 5849 Tennessee Ave., Willowbrook, was arrested for having a dog at large, obstructing a police officer and resisting a police officer at about 11 a.m. Nov. 28 in the 300 block of 59th Street, according to police.

Alleged drug possession
Bryan FitzGerald, 19, of South Elgin, was arrested for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia at about 1 a.m. Nov. 27 at Route 83 and Central Avenue FitzGerald was also arrested for operating an uninsured car, improper registration and disobeying a traffic light, according to police.

Papers reported stolen
Personal papers were stolen from a unlocked car between 3 p.m. Nov. 27 and 4 a.m. Nov. 28 in the 300 block of 79th Street, according to police.

Man charged with DUI
Police said Christopher Mikita, 37, 7306 Evans Place, Darien, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at about 2 a.m. Dec. 7 in the 7100 block of Clarendon Hills Road.

Police make DUI arrest
Michael Cairo, 27, of Indian Head Park was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at about 6:30 a.m. Dec. 7 in the 6300 block of Route 83.
Police said Cairo also failed to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Retail theft alleged
Monika Banys, 33, 6104 Knoll Valley Drive, Willowbrook, and Laimute Williams, 53, of Bolingbrook were charged with retail theft after being arrested at about 5 p.m. Dec. 7 at Whole Foods, 201 63rd St., Willowbrook.

Police said the women were seen putting cosmetic items into a purse without paying for them. The items are valued at $255.57.

Teen trespassing: police
Police said Jonathan Yates, 17, 10 Kingery Quarter, unincorporated Downers Grove Township, was charged with criminal trespassing after being arrested at about 4 p.m. Dec. 1 in the 6100 block of Knoll Valley Drive.

Bicycle damaged
Police said a bicycle was damaged near a storage locker between 7 a.m. and 8:45 p.m. Dec. 4 in the 6400 block of Clarendon Hills Road. The estimated loss is $85.
