Burr Ridge
Student counterfeits $5
A sixth-grade student at Gower Middle School was caught using counterfeit money at about 9:15 a.m. Dec. 12 at the school, 7941 Madison St.

Police said the student created a $5 bill on their home computer. The situation was handled by a peer jury and no criminal charges were filed.

GPS stolen from car
Police said a global positioning system was stolen from a locked car at about 4 p.m. Dec. 12 at Five Seasons Sports Club, 6901 Madison St. The estimated loss is unknown.

Man charged with DUI
Police said Jason Sunde, 28, 7721 S. Leonard Drive, Darien, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at about 3:45 a.m. Dec. 12 at Route 83 and 75th Street.

Three arrested at party
An underage drinking party resulted in the arrest of three men at about 2 p.m. Dec. 5 in the 1500 block of Pineview Court.

Police said Matthew Maples, 26, of Homer Glen, and Henry Konobrodzki, 20, of Chicago Ridge, were charged with criminal damage to property and battery. Lester Maka, 19, 6713 Alabama Ave., Darien, was arrested for two outstanding warrants from Willowbrook and Darien.

Police were called to the home to remove a subject that was out of control.

Maples and Konobrodzki allegedly battered each other and damaged items in the residence. Konobrodzki was transported to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. No arrests were made for underage drinking.

Stereo stolen from car
Police said a driver’s door window was broken and a car stereo was stolen between 7:30 and 9:15 p.m. Dec. 10 at Q Billiards, 8109 Cass Ave. The estimated loss is $450.

Cab ride left unpaid for
Police said a man left a cab without paying the fare at about 11:45 a.m. Dec. 11 in the 8000 block of Adams Street. The estimated loss is $50.

Money, jewelry stolen
A basement sliding door was pried open between 6:15 and 7:15 p.m. Dec. 12 in the 7700 block of Surrey Drive. Police said jewelry and money were stolen from the master bedroom. The estimated loss is $2,670.

Home ransacked
The rear door of a home was forced open, and the house was ransacked between 10 a.m. Dec. 13 and 9:30 a.m. Dec. 14 in the 1500 block of 73rd Street.

Police said jewelry, Christmas decorations, trophies, a jewelry box, Nintendo DS handheld game, CDs, DVDs, a battery-operated hedge trimmer and money were stolen. The estimated loss is $1,900.

Willowbrook
DUI alleged
Police said Michele Fruth, 45, of Homer Glen, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and an improper U-turn after being arrested at about midnight Dec. 10 in the 800 block of Midway Drive.

Police make DUI stop
Police said Ilija Tupacev, 22, 10S511 Echo Lane, unincorporated Willowbrook, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage after being arrested at about 2:30 a.m. Dec. 15 in the 600 block of Plainfield Road.

Trailer stolen from lot
Police said a box trailer was stolen from the Chief Trucking parking lot between 10 a.m. Dec. 10 and 9:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at 800 79th St. The estimated loss is $16,000.

Radios taken from cars
Police said the driver’s side window of two cars were broken, and the car radios were stolen.
One window was broken between 7 p.m. Dec. 7 and 11 a.m. Dec. 8 in the 7300 block of Tennessee Drive. The other window was broken before 11 a.m. Dec. 8 in the 7400 block of Tennessee Drive.

Vandalism reported
Police said graffiti was spray-painted on a storage container and box truck at about 2:45 p.m. Dec. 12 at Kmart, 840 Plainfield Road. The estimated loss is $200.
