
Darien resident Jack J. Cook, 74, died Jan. 10, 2008, in Palos Community Hospital, Palos Heights.
Mass was celebrated Jan. 14 in Our Lady of Peace Church, Darien, followed by interment in Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien.
Mr. Cook was a retired Chicago firefighter and also retired in sales from Siemens Co. He was an usher for many years at Our Lady of Peace Church and a member of the Darien Lions Club since 1980.
Mr. Cook was a U.S. Marine Corps/Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; his sons, John Joseph (Cindy) and James; his daughters, Cathy Mejorado, Karen (William) Barry, Carolyn (Perry) Howell and Christine Bortman (Fred Keplinger); his sisters, Jean Blake and Ann M. Waters; and eight grandchildren.
